About Me

I recently moved to Portland, Oregon but am originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico and have been drawing and painting since I was very young. I grew up knowing I wanted to pursue art. In 2008 I earned a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of New Mexico.
It was a course called Image and Imagination (based on art therapy ideas) that inspired me to move away from portraiture and into the abstract and non objective pieces I work on today. Moving away from figurative, representational work has given me the opportunity to fall in love with making art all over again.
In my current work I am exploring color and composition in all new ways. I have found that viewers can relate to my abstract works much more personally. They see things I may not have even intended. These pieces can be anything you want them to be. I encourage my clients to flip my abstract pieces upside down or sideways depending on how it moves them. If you are new to collecting art or intimidated by gallery pricing, I have pieces to suit just about any budget.
I hope you enjoy looking at the work and please contact me with any questions about my work or commissions. See information about past and current exhibitions here.
